A year-round resident of Fire Island, 

Mitch Goldberg is a full-service contractor, avid fisherman, and great neighbor. Working solely on Fire Island, he is a veteran of the unique challenges of renovating and repairing homes in its sandy environment.

Meet Mitch

Mitch and his family have been residents of Fire Island for over 30 years and became full-time residents in 2009. He is well known around Ocean Beach as a serious fisherman and can often be seen sprinting down the beach with his surfcasting pole when the stripers are running.

Like so many residents of Fire Island, Mitch and his wife Sheila’s home was left heavily damaged by Hurricane Sandy. Working with his own staff, he raised his house and completely renovated and modernized it. Within weeks of the storm he had 18 clients calling him for help restoring and rebuilding their homes. He answered those calls.
